The session will seek to draw attention to the need for all stakeholders in education to be able to understand and appreciate the significance of oracy (speaking and listening) skills in preparing our young people for life outside of the classroom.

Bio

Sarah Davies is the author of Talking about Oracy which focuses on the development of effective communication beyond the parameters of the classroom. She is currently an Assistant Head Teacher at a secondary academy in the north-west of England.
