The importance of vocational subjects

REBECCA RUSSON, AMAAN SAQLAIN & FAYIZA ISLAM - Many young people nowadays who are less academic are getting forced to sit exams and end up failing. The harsh truth is that it’s the government’s fault for building an education system that only caters for people who are ‘smart’ in school, and is rooted in classism and discrimination. In this session, we will share our own research and personal lived experience to discuss the importance of vocational subjects as a way to enable all young people to succeed.
