GPS Pathways to Learning: Bringing literacy to the community
GEOFF VAUGHAN, FAITH BORKOWSKY & TRE HADRICK* - In 2021, a small group of committed community pioneers in Pennsylvania gathered to study a ground-breaking work about early literacy awareness. Based on these conversations, we embarked on opening the very first decodable bookshop based in a barbershop in the US. The GPS Pathways to Learning team (Faith Borkowsky, Tre Hadrick and Geoff Vaughan) will talk about the work we have initiated and how this can be replicated in any community around the world.
Bio
Faith Borkowsky is a literacy tutor and consultant based in New York, USA. Tre Hadrick is a school counselor and literacy pioneer based in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Geoff Vaughan is a university lecturer and teacher based in Hungary.
