We will explore how to create environments for students and teachers which give permission for more natural physical movement within schools and other educational settings. We will discuss the importance of movement for wellbeing and the implications for learning, informed consent and healthy development.
Bio
Emily Doe is an inspirational speaker and movement educator, helping people find more freedom and less pain in movement for the past 13 years. She is the founder of Movement Foundations and Director of Not-For-Profit community organisation Movement Foundations School Program. Emily’s passion for this topic stems from her work as a movement educator/therapist, and her experience and concern as a mother of two young children who she believes sit too often, and from too young an age, in chairs at school.
