Developing learning dispositions through in-house Internships

It is increasingly recognised that the learning dispositions required for young people to thrive in their future careers are not effectively developed through a narrow focus on academic qualifications. In this session, I will outline how our ‘in-house internships’ programme has been designed to develop broader skills and attributes.

Bio

Claire Badger is the senior teacher in charge of teaching and learning at Godolphin and Latymer School, a post she has been in since 2015. She has a keen interest in developing evidence-informed practices within schools and recently completed a Masters in Teaching and Learning with the Institute of Education, focusing on developing metacognitive skills in sixth form students.
