INTRODUCTION TO IMPLEMENTATION SCIENCE:
Making change happen
A one-day event for school leaders
“How can we implement policies and practices that replicate positive research findings when implemented in our school context?”
In recent years, schools have become increasingly engaged with education research in an attempt to become more evidence-informed. However, many schools are finding that engaging with research is harder than it sounds. In part, this is due to the fact that we tend to overstate the importance of research findings, and underestimate the importance of effective implementation.
Implementation science is a new field of study that has emerged in the last 10 years in a systematic attempt to answer the question all school leaders wrestle with: “How can I build on what is known from the research literature, to implement policies and practices that replicate (or improve upon) research findings when implemented in my context?”
At this special one-day event for school leaders, you will learn about a range of research-informed frameworks, tools and strategies to help you bridge the research-practice gap and implement school improvement in a systematic way.
Implementation science is going to be the next big thing in education: if you want to be ahead of the curve, this one is not to be missed.
